Ford Employee Found Dead in Axle Plant

Ford Motor Company has confirmed one of its employees was found dead inside a bathroom at its Sterling Axle Plant. The cause of death is unknown.

The 24 year old male was found overnight at the plant just outside of Detroit, according to Automotive News. Authorities were called as soon as coworkers found the man, who pronounced him dead on the scene. His body will be sent of autopsy.

Coworkers say the man was complaining he wasn’t feeling well earlier in his shift and that he was going to the restroom.

“Our thoughts are with the family, friends and coworkers of a Ford employee who passed away after being found unresponsive in the bathroom at the Sterling Axle Plant early this morning,” a Ford spokeswoman said in a statement. “We are cooperating with authorities in the investigation.”
