2018 Ford Focus RS Limited Edition Gets A Price Hike

Clearly Ford wishes to have the current generation Ford Focus RS go out with a bang. Part of that bang includes a new, higher price tag for the 2018 Focus RS Limited Edition model. According to CarsDirect Ford is throwing a $41,995 sticker price on the car.

For those keeping track, that figure represents a price increase of about $5,000 over the 2017 Focus RS. It is worth noting that the $41,995 does include a mandatory $875 destination charge, so that is the absolute highest price tag for the car. The 2018 Limited Edition also features additional features that have to be factored into the price calculus as well. All Limited Edition models feature a limited slip differential and the RS2 Package, which includes leather Recaro seats and other features.

So factoring all of the added content into the equation, the price increase isn’t quite as bad. There’s still just under $1,000 of the price hike that cannot directly be factored to the added content, which is probably the premium Ford is putting on the fact it is a “Limited Edition” model.

$42k buys a fairly-equipped Mustang GT. I know it's a different target customer, but price has to be factor, at some point.

That's a lot of money for a Focus.

    I know it's an RS

I know it will have the diff

It's still a Focus at the end of the day though.

But hey if they can sell it at that price more power to em.
