A unit of Nanchang-based Jiangling Motors Co Ltd has been given approval by China’s state planner to produce electric vehicles in China.

According to a post by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Jiangxi Jiangling Group New Energy Vehicle Co Ltd has been awarded a special EV license that will allow the company to manufacture 50,000 fully-electric cars.
