Teaser Video Confirms New Ram Heavy Duty Headed for Detroit

Last year the Ram brand rocked the Detroit Auto Show by revealing the 2019 Ram 1500. This year the truck brand plans to do it again, but this time with the all-new Ram Heavy Duty series. Earlier today Ram took to social media to give us a first look.

Shared on Ram’s official Twitter account, the video (shown below) showcases several close-ups of the Ram Heavy Duty’s headlight and other various details on the new truck. Ram marketers also give us a birds-eye view of the new truck towing a large trailer while the copy on the video suggests the new Ram HD is going to be extra smart.

If we’re to base the 2020 Ram Heavy Duty off of the teaser video, we can assume the new truck will borrow many of its styling and directional cues from the Ram 1500. The headlights look very similar to the 1500, while a similarly high-tech interior is also validated with a snapshot of the Ram’s large infotainment screen in the video.

Technical details surrounding the new truck have not yet leaked out, but Ram is (of course) already hinting the truck will have best-in-class capabilities.

Expect to hear more about the 2020 Ram Heavy Duty’s capabilities and a full look at its new design next week after its reveal at the Detroit Auto Show.
