2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Interior Leaked?

Future product leaks are fairly common, but this one isn’t exactly a typical leak. Thanks to a crumpled up piece of paper ultimately posted on Instagram, we may have our first (mostly) clean view of the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee interior.

The folks over at Motor1 first published the photo, which was posted by “theJeep_guy” on Instagram. The photo appears to be an internal document from Fiat Chrysler, indicated by the fact the document references “WL” which is the program code for the next-generation Grand Cherokee. The document displays various interior components along with an overall shot of the proposed interior design.

Assume the rendering is accurate, it appears the Grand Cherokee interior will take an evolutionary path. The overall theme is not dramatically different from today’s interior, though this one looks more modern with a cleaner design and larger displays. In fact, the document suggests the Grand Cherokee will offer an optional 10.5″ gauge cluster screen and 10.1″ UConnect infotainment display.

The document lists various other new features, including massaging front seats, head-up display and foot-activated tailgate.

While the validity of this leak is unknown, it is worth mentioning that recent spy shots of 2021 Grand Cherokee test mules have shown a general interior design that is similar to the one shown in the leaked document.

The next-generation Grand Cherokee is slated to begin production in spring 2021. It will reported ride on the Giorgio platform that underpins the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. The new platform is expected to cause the Grand Cherokee to grow in size a bit, but likely retain just two rows of seats to create some differences from the upcoming Grand Wagoneer.
