Google's Waymo Division Set to Showcase Self-Driving Chrysler Pacifica Minivan in Detroit

Waymo CEO John Krafcik has announced via Twitter that the self-driving version of the Chrysler Pacifica minivan will make its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The vehicles will first be displayed during Krafcik’s keynote address for the Automobili-D event on January 8, during which time he will provide details of Waymo’s collaboration with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the development of the vehicle.

Waymo was recently established as a separate division within Google parent Alphabet Inc.

The company expects to have a fleet of 100 autonomous vehicles in service in 2017.
