While the all-new BMW 5 Series has seen early signs of success, the company has been nearly mute about the upcoming M version of the car. The graphic artists involved in the video game Need For Speed Playback may have just tipped us off, as AutoBlog notes.
The title card for the upcoming video game was released on Friday by EA Games, the maker of the video game series. At first glance that blue BMW in the background appears to be the new M5. Although it isn’t a 100 percent surety, the BMW shown certainly isn’t the M3 or M750Li. The 5 Series’ new headlight design, which extends into its kidney-shaped grilles, sort of gives this one away.
While we don’t know much about the new M5, BMW has detailed its new M xDrive all-wheel-drive system that will debut on the new M5. The system basically allows the driver to switch the car from all-wheel-drive to rear-wheel-drive.
We also expect the M5 to show up by the end of this year, which happens to coincide with the release of the latest Need For Speed, which is slated to launch on November 10th. This will be the first Need For Speed title to launch since 2015.
